I have five friends who committed suicide while on SSRI's. (In one case, several other contra-indicated medications had also been prescribed.) I know several others, friends of friends, who died under the same circumstances. I do not consider these to be suicides, but pharmaceutical manslaughter. It has disturbed me greatly that there is no mechanism for officially reporting and recording these incidents, so these drugs continue to be prescribed and continue to kill. I hope that a new Independent Drug Agency becomes a reality, but I'm skeptical that it would be truly immune to being 'bought off' by Big Pharma.
