s outlined in this video, the VBE has formed a partner- ship with the University of British Columbia Faculty of Education that has enabled the schools to develop explicit, integrated and embedded social emotional learning for Vancouver students. These programs teach and support children to develop an array of Social Emotional skills; such skills as self awareness, self management, conflict resolution, leadership, empathy building --- the skills needed for children to become emotionally and socially competent adults and world citizens.
