aureen Osis, RN, MN, MFT is a Registered Nurse and a Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been recognized by her peers as the recipient of an Honorary Certificate in Gerontology from Mount Royal College / University, the Vogel Award, and the AARN Heritage of Service award.

Maureen is a clinician providing individual and family therapy. She is also a speaker, offering relevant topics to the public who are trying to navigate the new territory of advanced age. Her practical presentations offer timely solutions to mid-life adults concerned with their own aging, and the age-related changes they see in their older family members. She frequently speaks to seniors because she believes that it is never too late to adopt a health-promoting lifestyle. Career Highlights

1. At age 15 (yes, this is correct, not a typo), I had my first introduction to gerontology, being a companion to our neighbour who had a stroke. In those days, home care did not exist and she had the choice to remain in the auxiliary hospital, or to return home and rely on her own support system. She taught me about courage, resilience, creativity, and determination.
2. I have been privileged to participate in several innovative programs with seniors. For example, I offered a health promotion program called “Once a Parent” to 80 and 90 year olds! They taught me what a blessing and a nuisance mid-life children can be!
