L isa Miller, RN, M.Sc.N. - is the manager for the Grey Bruce Diabetes Program, a multidisciplinary educational and counseling service offered at ten sites in a rural environment. Lisa comes to the GBDP with a Master’s degree in Nursing, and expertise in program development and management. She has worked in leadership roles in both hospitals and the community. Her professional focus has been service development, professional practice, clinical research and capacity building for professionals. She teaches nursing at Ryerson University for the post-basic program.
Within her current position, Lisa collaborates with public health, primary, community and acute care organizations locally and at a regional level to support both diabetes management and service integration for chronic diseases. She has been an author and facilitator for the development and dissemination of the GBCDPM Tool Kit.
