Danielle is a comprehensive care family physician who works in downtown Toronto and in rural northern Ontario. She is Associate Staff at Women's College Hospital and Lecturer in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.

anielle is a comprehensive care family physician who works in downtown Toronto and in rural northern Ontario. She is Associate Staff at Women's College Hospital and Lecturer in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Danielles policy expertise and passion for equity make her an emerging leader in the debate over the future of Canadas healthcare system. A recipient of the Canadian Medical Association Award for Young Leaders, Danielle sits on the Health Council of Canada and was a founding co-chair of the New Health Professionals Network. In 2006 the Ontario College of Family Physicians recognized her as one of three New Family Doctors of the Year.

Danielle believes strongly in universal, publicly funded Medicare as the most efficient, equitable and compassionate way to ensure access to high-quality healthcare services for all Canadians. In May 2006 she helped launch Canadian Doctors for Medicare, the voice for Canadian physicians who believe that a responsive, sustainable publicly funded healthcare system exists as the highest expression of Canadians caring for one another.
