eirdre Luesby specializes in the management of organizational change, internal communications, facilitation and process consultation. She has over 25 years of management experience, spanning the government, private, and not-for-profit sectors. She holds an MA from Concordia University in Human Systems Intervention (Change / Organizational Development) and an undergrad degree from Carleton University in Directed Interdisciplinary Studies (Design Management).

Deirdre moved from a long standing management position with municipal government to work as a consultant in 2002. Since this time, she has worked on long terms contracts with CIDA (technology change initiative to improve information and knowledge management) and most recently with the Elisabeth Bruyère Research Institute (research project on healthcare teams learning on how to improve collaborative practice, and most recently to establish the Seniors Health Research Transfer Network).

Deirdre is keenly interested in how people learn within organizations, and across organizations. To this end, she has spent the last 3 years focussed on helping to establish a new knowledge exchange network within Ontario that links researchers, policy makers, paid and unpaid caregivers interested in improving the quality of health and health care for seniors. One of the challenges that SHRTN struggles with is to balance the need to bring people together to exchange knowledge, while supporting them with technological tools – which is especially challenging in the long-term care / community care sectors.
