Prof. Gerda Kaegi

Gerda Kaegi, Professor Emerita, Ryerson University has been a social activist for much of her life. She founded the first part-time Degree Program in Public Administration in Canada, and was a Co-founder of the Program in Interdisciplinary Studies in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Management at Ryerson.

erda Kaegi, Professor Emerita, Ryerson University has been a social activist for much of her life. She founded the first part-time Degree Program in Public Administration in Canada, and was a Co-founder of the Program in Interdisciplinary Studies in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Management at Ryerson. She played a leadership role on the Toronto District Health Council and is currently Co-Chair, with Doris Grinspun, of the Ontario Elder Health Coalition. She has been National President of Canadian Pensioners Concerned Inc. and President of the Ontario Division where she is currently a member of the Executive. Gerda has written many briefs on health policy to both federal and provincial levels of government.
