L isa Gue is the environmental health policy analyst at the David Suzuki Foundation. Since 1990, the David Suzuki Foundation has worked to find ways for society to live in balance with the natural world that sustains us, using science and education to promote solutions that conserve nature and help achieve sustainability within a generation. Lisa’s work at the David Suzuki Foundation has encompassed a broad range of environmental health issues including air quality, water quality, pesticides, and toxics, with a focus on strengthening public policies to protect human health from environmental hazards and raising public awareness. Among other projects, Lisa has contributed to the production of several David Suzuki Foundation reports, including Prescription for a Healthy Canada: Towards a National Environmental Health Strategy (by David Boyd, 2007). Recently, she was centrally involved in the successful campaign to ban lawn and garden pesticides in Ontario. Lisa has worked for NGOs and government on energy and environmental issues in Canada and in the US. Originally from Alberta and now based in Ottawa, she has a BA from the University of Calgary and an MA in Public Policy and Administration from Carleton University.
