elly Duffin is the Chief Executive Officer for the Alzheimer Society of Canada (ASC), the leading nationwide health organization for people affected by dementia in Canada. The Society is a principal funder of Alzheimer research and training, provides enhanced care and support to people with the disease, their families and their caregivers, and is a prominent voice within all levels of government.

Kelly joined ASC in January 2010 after seven years as President and CEO of the Canadian Hearing Society (CHS). Prior to joining CHS, Kelly was the Vice-President of Marketing and Corporate Communications for Random House of Canada, where she was the corporate spokesperson, oversaw the advertising, promotion, and publicity departments, and established a track record of successfully building the company’s core brands. Kelly also worked at the company’s New York headquarters doing business analysis for the international operations.

Kelly moved to Random House after serving as General Manager of the Scotiabank Giller Prize, which, with the founder, she nurtured from inception to its current place as the premier Canadian literary award. She continues on the Prize’s Advisory Board.

Kelly has an Honours BA from the University of Toronto in English and French, and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. She is also fluent in American Sign Language. She was nominated for Canada’s Most Powerful Women Award in 2008; Co-chaired the External Advisory Group on Disability and Accessibility for Service Canada; and was nominated as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2003.

An active volunteer, Kelly has given back to the community through volunteering with a variety of different organizations, including the United Way of Greater Toronto, the Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf, Habitat for Humanity and the Toronto Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Canada.
