A truly gifted doctor and an exceptional human being". When a patient gave this comments to me, no one can imagine how grateful I was to my mother. In my early years, I experienced countless illnesses. When the time came for me to choose a career, my mother who was a western medical doctor, suggested "Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)". She said “TCM is better for chronic illness and to maintain wellness". Her hope was that I could use TCM to take good care of my own health.
In 1978, I entered the Hunan University of TCM, where for 5 years, I learned both Chinese and western medicine. I began to practice both medicines in 1983. In order to learn more within the TCM field, I embarked upon another 6 years of study and research to earn my Masters and Doctoral degree in medicine. I graduated from Chengdu University of TCM in 1990 with a Doctoral Degree in medicine. My research area involved acupuncture for digestive and neurological diseases. Now, with over 25 years in this field, my passion still grows for this profession because my knowledge and skills have helped many with physical and mental illnesses and disorders.
Body Mind Synergy
Health Centre was opened in early 2001. I chose the clinic name as a extension of my belief that the harmony of body, mind and spirit is the essential core of health and wellness. In my practice, I believe in the power of our own natural healing process and in the ability of acupuncture to enhance this process. Chinese herbal medicine is a part of my practice that serves to broaden treatment effects and achieve additional success to your health!
In 2003, I founded Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine(CITCM)—a school to teach acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicine as a career to fulfill my dream of spreading the treasure of TCM and my knowledge and experience to more people who have the passion to help others and would like to take the path of natural and holistic approach to health care practice. CITCM was established under the belief that quality education creates the future foundation for the profession as well as provides the optimum outcome to society.
Although I find life has been very busy, but I am happy that I am able to offer my optimistic energy, wide range of knowledge to help others to have a more enjoyable and successful life.
