Dr. Brian Goldman is an emergency room physician at Mount Sinai Hospital in downtown Toronto as well as a prominent medical journalist and the host of CBC Radio’s White Coat, Black Art.

r. Brian Goldman’s CBC show ‘Ageing, Ageism, and the ‘Silver Tsunami’ on his series ‘White Coat, Black Art’ dealt with the scenario of 2 patients in the ER with heart attacks needing angioplasties. He asks the question if one patient is 42 and the other 92 does it make the question of who gets the procedure done first easier. He suggests that to answer yes to that question would be considered ‘age discrimination’ by those professionals already on the receiving end of triage based upon Date of Birth."
